Job Description:


We are looking for an experienced
Commercial Lead to join our
Marketplace Team and take ownership of our
Car Finance vertical.

We play a pivotal role in society, and it is our responsibility to use our capabilities and data as a force for good, particularly in our consumer business where we help millions of users avoid overpaying for credit.


Having achieved rapid growth in our Credit Card and Loans verticals, we are now looking to do the same for Car Finance, changing the way consumers finance their vehicles and saving them thousands of pounds in the process.


This role will give you the opportunity to both innovate and execute against a plan as you'll be responsible for driving commercial performance and growth of the vertical.


As the Commercial Lead you will:

  • Own all our key relationships and be responsible for developing new ones.
  • Work with a mixture of startups and established players in the Car Finance market.
  • You will work closely with a number of internal, particularly Product to refine our strategy and roadmap and Marketing to generate engagement from our customer base.
  • You will be motivated by influencing our key metrics, living and breathing our funnel to find optimisation opportunities.
  • You will also think about the bigger picture and in particular, the impact of new trends and competitor activity on our products.

Qualifications:


We believe in constantly learning, so we don't necessarily expect to get fully developed expertise in each of these points listed below. If you can tick some of them off, we'd love to talk to you and understand how we can help you develop.

  • A solid understanding of ecommerce/ scaling technology businesses (finance/ car finance experience is not essential)
  • A passion for innovation, unhindered by 'the way we've always done things'
  • A brilliant communicator able to get into the detail of not only the 'what', but also the 'why'
  • A decisionmaker able to understand the implications of those decisions on the task in hand and our wider business
  • An influencer able to comfortably engage with senior stakeholders both internally and externally
  • Commercially minded, experience negotiating pricing/ contracts would be useful
  • Understanding wider market sizing, trends and movements, including competitive threats and opportunities
