EVENTS EXECUTIVE
An exciting and sought after vacancy for a full-time permanent Events Executive has just arrived on our books.

Working for a leading Events Venue based in the heart of Guildford, Surrey you will be a key member of the team and need experience of using a computerised venue booking system.

Working closely with the General Manager as Events Executive you be involved in handing incoming enquiries for a wide variety of fun events such as weddings, concerts, business meetings and parties through to confirmation and finally running the event.

This role will be very much hands on with sales, operations, and liaising with preferred caterers, sponsors and suppliers.

Salary £24-28K depending on experience

Key responsibilities for the Events Executive include,

  • Be the first point of contact for new event enquiries
  • Use of the venue event management computerised system
  • Conduct professional and creative show rounds of the venue
  • Use the venue event management system to prepare proposals
  • Ensure PO's, signed contracts, T&C's and full payments are received prior to the event
  • Finalise third party suppliers, liaise with caterers and book casual staff as required Be the main point of contact for the client and suppliers on the day of an event
  • Manage the bar staff and temporary staff and any suppliers required for the event Set up and break down of equipment, furniture and refreshment stations for the event including open up/lock down rooms/buildings
  • Ensure payment is made on the day and ensure invoices for extras are sent
  • Support the General Manager with stock checks and facilities management of the building
  • Have input into the marketing of the venue and proactively seek new business opportunities
The ideal Event Executive will need the following,

  • Some previous venue experience required
  • Confident IT skills, previous use of a computerised booking system essential
  • Sound commercial acumen and target driven
  • Professional verbal/written communication skills are a must
  • Be highly customer focused, self sufficient and self motivated
  • Some previous proactive sales experience would be advantageous
  • Flexibility to work some weekends, evenings or bank holidays when events are taking place

Salary:
£24,000.00-£28,000.00 per year
