The role can be based ideally out of London, Amsterdam Edinburgh, Glasgow or Dublin


Background:
Diageo is embarking on an exciting and significant Business Transformation through the Advanced Supply Planning Programme. The program will drive a radical transformation of our planning processes, systems, and organisation.

This is not just a technical deployment of a new technology but a renewal/upscaling program, change management is pivotal to a successful outcome, adoption, and a sustainable future solution.

Through this programme Diageo aims to drive global supply planning process and data standardization and simplification.


Diageo is therefore seeking a Supply Planning Readiness and Start-up Lead for Europe who has excellent functional and leadership capabilities to optimally prepare, deliver and adopt this Business Transformation Programme in Diageo's fast-paced environment.

They will have a strong grasp of best-in-class processes and business capabilities, creating the bridge between business capabilities today and those required to deliver and sustain new supply planning processes, capabilities, and systems.


Purpose and and key focus of the role:
Lead the advanced supply planning transformation for the European value streams by embedding the Global supply planning processes and systems, adjusting ways of working while ensuring the integrated planning cycle and master data are executed with cadence and discipline:

  • Lead the change management and improvement of supply planning in-process metrics across value streams that will enable a smooth transition and on-going adoption of system and processes.
  • Lead the supply planning transformation for the European category/value streams by embedding the supply planning global processes and systems, adjusting ways of working while ensuring the integrated planning cycle and master data are executed with cadence and discipline.
  • Guide and develop the Category Supply Operating strategies which will define the operational guidelines, drive parameter settings, and align accountability and performance metrics.
  • Lead and influence the supply planning organizations and cross functional areas in order to align and synchronize new ways of working by leveraging scale.
  • Key interface between the Advanced Supply Planning project and the category heads and planning heads to drive readiness, start-up and adoption that will ensure that ways of working are embraced, established, and the team can sustain the new processes.
  • Lead and facilitate the improvement of supply chain readiness metrics along with the category supply planning teams to ensure the system parameters are understood/properly loaded in the systems as well as ensuring the work processes are being followed, deliver the expected results, and allow us to sustain data and processes health/hygiene.
  • Responsible to successfully deliver the readiness targets for each category/value stream as per key milestones and you will build the basis to ensure sustainable work process/practices adoption post go-live.
  • Ensure that all new and modified processes are consistent with Global Process Owners remit and manage the identification and approval of gaps and issue resolution.

Leadership responsibilities:

  • Lead the supply planning transformation and adoption (People, Process, Systems) through change management and improvement.
  • Responsible for leading a crossfunctional team for multiple categories.
  • Guide and develop the supply planning operating strategy for multiple categories seeking to leverage capabilities and scale across categories.
  • Lead and facilitate improvement of key supply planning metrics for each category (Pre & Post Go-Live).
  • Key interface between the Advanced Supply Planning project, the category heads and planning heads to drive change management and enable a smooth transition building the foundations of the ongoing advanced supply planning processes adoption and health assessments.

What we're looking for:

  • Considerable experience across at least three of the following supply chain processes: Logistics, Supply network planning/SNP, Distribution requirements planning/DRP, Master production scheduling/MPS Materials requirements planning/MRP, Inventory management and control.
  • Experience driving supply planning improvement programs.
  • Experience in a global FMCG or similar dynamic operating environment.
  • Proven experience managing teams of a cross functional nature and different level of stakeholders, able to provide clear direction, support, and resolution
  • SAP/APO usage and experience, new generation planning systems, OMP experience advantageous
  • Commercial Acumen: Understand the supply planning and IBP processes in detail and can connect current performance to specific improvement requirements against best in class processes through awareness of planning issues and opportunities.
