M Squared are currently looking for a buyer to join a growing procurement team, you will be responsible for buying construction materials for soft landscaping, fencing and civils projects.

Duties include:

Placing purchase orders for material and plant
Purchase indirect goods consumables, materials, components, or services in line with specified cost, quality, and delivery targets.
Obtaining quotes and prices for contracts department
Send out enquiries, analyse and collate quotations.
Ensure continuous supply of required goods and materials and communicate any supply problems which may pose a risk or impact on business operations.
Advise Surveyors costs for budgetary and tender purposes.
Approach, set up and manage accounts with new suppliers.
Liaise with suppliers regarding queried invoices.
Assist with tender preparation Requirements:

Experience

Proven track record in bestvalue procurement ensuring timely ontime delivery in line with build programs and budget.
Excellent commercial awareness and negotiation skills to optimise pricing and commercial terms.
Ability to read and interpret project drawings and specifications.
Ability to forward plan for multiple sites and priorities' workload across longlead and real time demands.
Excellent interpersonal skills strong relationship builder and communicator
Takes individual ownership and collaborates to deliver team and company objectives.
Ability to undertake take offs would be an advantage.
Ability to implement and manage sound business processes and procedures.
