Talented People are currently working with an extremely reputable Manufacturing firm to recruit a Production Engineer.

The Firm:

The Role:

This is a new position within the company.

The roles focus will be, ensuring the transfer of manual processes to automated processes, on EDM and CNC turning Machines.

Designing New Jigs where necessary and implementation

Produce Manufacturing Packs for new transfers.

Process Routing.
Cad drawings.
New jig design.
Produce Setup sheets for new CNC Jobs.
Select appropriate tooling for new Jobs, including measurement tools.
Be a key member of project teams for identifying and subsequent selection of new machine investments.
Leading the resolution of machining production issues.
Involved in the selection of some subcontractor.
Driver/champion of continuous improvement/Kaizen program as directed by global/regional functions.

The successful applicant:

Working knowledge of CAD

Experience/knowledge of process management and documentations (such as PPAP, FMEA, APQP, min ISO9001)
Knowledge of at least two of the following processes Spark Eroding, Surface Grinding and CNC turning
Knowledge of CNC Programming languages
Good communication skills both Verbal and Nonverbal
IT Skills including MS Office.
Mechanical Engineering / Engineering HNC or greater with 3 years Industry experience in a similar role
Formal Apprenticeship Training with at least 5 years of industry experience in a similar role.

Salary £38,000 - £42,000 per year
