Assistant Income & Debt Officer - Hackney (Temp Vacancy)

Umbrella Pay Rate:
£19.00ph**
Full-Time (37 hours)

Job Purpose:


  • The role will support the management of invoices and payments from Hackney Council property tenants and debt monitoring. The key aim of the role is to maximise income and minimise debt to the Council.
  • Ensure that all property tenants' transactions are properly and that they are informed of all outcomes, updating your line manager as required.
  • Undertake case preparation for Court
  • Performing credit checks where necessary.
  • Attending meetings to update on property tenant income and debt issues.
  • Preparation of debt analysis reports.
  • Preparation of income rent profiling spreadsheets for each of the different commercial portfolios Have high standards for the service and the way in which it is delivered.
  • Write professional, courteous and grammatically correct correspondence for internal and external audiences.
  • Be comfortable executing basic functions in Google products, Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word and be capable of learning a new IT system quickly and using it properly.

Accountabilities:


  • Monitor invoicing and manage accounts receivable in order to ensure timely payment
  • The post holder will be responsible for liaising with key stakeholders within the team, in other parts of the organisation, property occupants and external organisations.
  • The post holder will be expected to ensure compliance with all prescribed processes at all times.
  • The post holder will develop standard reports to monitor finance and resources in accordance with requirements.
  • If required, arrange and provide support in meetings including issue of agenda, meeting minutes and notes
  • Work flexibly with other administrative staff in the Strategic Property team during periods of staff absence or high volumes of work to maintain the effective provision of the administration service.
