An exciting opportunity for an experienced Warehouse Team Leader to join this well-established European Food Business supplying bakery products to a range of major supermarkets.

OPPORTUNITY HIGHLIGHTS

Competitive salary £34,245.1 42 hours per week
Shift pattern 2 weeks of early shifts , 2 weeks of late shifts May require to work night shifts occasionally. There is an opportunity to do overtime during weekends.

THE WAREHOUSE TEAM LEADER
You will need to have worked in a food distribution or warehousing environment

You will be responsible for:

Lead and supervise all Warehouse Operatives within the Supply chain team at all levels.
Ensure that close supervision of the team is adhered too at all times within all the areas under the control of the jobholder.
Manage Holiday, sickness, absence and organize appropriate cover as necessary within the company guidelines and policies
Conduct regular operative's meeting to discuss performance & issues.
Be able to cover picking, loading, put away and all warehousing functions when needed.
The jobholder and through his team should maintain the accuracy of stock during receipts, picking or dispatched operation.
Support and train new staff when they commence employment

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

Must have a Supervisory background in a Warehouse environment within the food industry from either manufacturing or distribution
UK Driving Licence min. 2 years

MHE experience

Counterbalance, Reach Truck is optional.
Ability to prioritise vehicle movements in line with timed departure and delivery windows.
Preferred to be Sky jack trained in line with working at height regulations for pallet retrieval.
