About the Role


The Accounts Payable Specialist position is a support role within the AP/Travel & Expense (T&E) Team that reports to the EMEA AP Manager.

The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for all aspects of the invoice-to-cash process within the AP function, as well supporting other administrative functions within the department.


What You'll Do

  • Process in a timely manner all accounts payable transactions across the EMEA region
  • Ensure all accounts payable transactions are correctly posted to the General Ledger using appropriate cost centre or balance sheet codes
  • Ensure supplier charges are applied and passed through to client billable projects or 'matters'
  • Prepare multicurrency payment runs on a regular basis using various banking platforms (mainly RBS/NatWest & HSBC)
  • Process all T&E reimbursement claims from employees across the EMEA region
  • Ensure T&A claims adhere to FTI Global Travel policy, with the responsibility to approve/reject where appropriate
  • Ensure strict adherence with US GAAP SOX principles, specifically obtaining the appropriate approval of accounts payable transactions, before completion of transaction processing
  • Manage questions from the business and suppliers, ensuring issues are resolved timely, efficiently and professionally
  • Other ad hoc duties as required

Basic Qualifications

  • Accounts Payable experience, with particularly strong expenses skills
  • Experience working within a highvolume transaction environment
  • Experience working in a multicurrency environment
  • Understanding of VAT and applicability to accounts payable transactions
  • Proficient in excel

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a professional services environment
  • Knowledge of Unit 4 finance system
  • Experience working within an EMEA focused finance function
