Purpose:


  • To support in the identification, assessment, and capture of mineral title in Europe, driving the development of title strategies and title management plans.
  • Ensures that Exploration's title portfolio information is collated, validated, maintained and verified
  • Implements risk management processes and critical controls for the loss of title risk, as appropriate to different jurisdictions.
  • Ensures that appropriate specialist support is provided for exploration activities and operations, as above.
  • To provide assurance to the Operations and Generative Managers that title and agreement management complies with required standards through appropriate measurement, reporting and targeted audits.

About the Role:


The position reports directly to the Superintendent Operations for Europe based in London UK, who in turn reports to the Head of Region.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Provides specialist functional land and title management support to Exploration activities;
  • Assists the Manager Generative and Superintendent Operations Europe to prepare and maintain appropriate commercial risk overlays to enable Focus Area Selection;
  • Provides inputs to the development of Title Strategies, Land Access strategies and Title Management Plans;
  • Ensures that the Europe title portfolio information is collated, validated, maintained and verified in Land Assist; and that all title event notices and commitments are communicated to appropriate managers in a timely manner;
  • Monitors compliance with regulatory requirements;
  • Researches and maintains information on mineral title regimes for the European countries within which Metals Exploration currently operates or is considering operating in;
  • Assist with portfolio management and provides relevant reporting to support strategy alignment;
  • Collaborates and interacts with other areas and regions within Metals Exploration

About You:


  • Bachelor Degree minimum. Other qualifications (master's degree, professional qualifications) desirable.
  • At least five years of relevant experience.
  • Proven track record in land/title or real estate portfolio management.
  • Experience in multiple jurisdictions in Europe will be favourably considered.
  • Capacity to understand government legislation and regulations.
  • Commercial awareness.
  • Can effectively prioritize multiple requests and proactively identify and raise issues.
  • Flexibility to work with diverse teams and exposure to multicultural environments.
  • Works independently with limited supervision, ensuring high accuracy and quality of own work.
  • Proficiency in Geographic Information System (GIS).
  • Proficiency in ArcMap, SAP, Excel, database management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Access and equivalent databases.
  • Advanced English verbal and written.
