Position Summary:


Reporting to the European Supply Chain Planning & Purchasing Manager, you will handle for single or multiple sites SureTrace + Customers requirements relating to supply chain demand planning & purchasing associated customer order within the Thermo Fisher Scientific European distribution network.

You will be the reference point for the SureTrace+ Work Cell team.

In this context, you will maintain a high level of internal customer service relationship which will offer an opportunity to develop partnership.


List of mains responsibilities:

Collaborate with the Commercial and the Planning teams to acquire customer forecast and load them in the planning system.

You will have to lead when requested the opportunity to set up a Stock Holding Agreements with Customers in coordination with the overall goals set for the organization (Days of inventory and reduced risk of E&O).


Handle the order pipeline with the suppliers in a timely manner with the objective to meet the customer requested date and address any customer concerns (expediting orders).

Take the opportunity to prioritize meetings with Customers/Suppliers we can coordinate to achieve the operational metric (stock availability ; On Time delivery).

Ensure customer complaints are actioned efficiently and within the agreed timescales.

We have to keep customer aware of any change of our Portfolio. In this context, you will report any ad hoc changes in item handling status to the Production team


On monthly bases, you will have to control the service level and inventory to verify that we meet or exceed goals through a set of key indicators (including: OTIF, PTOW, Fill rate) and when required, you will drive root cause countermeasure activities to resolve issues affecting customer satisfaction index.


You will engage with the Support Production Program Liaison to develop together a strategic relationship management plans detailing undertaken actions.

You will work as well closely with other groups to collect awareness on industry and market factors that can impact the supply chain (goods availability, supplier performance, transport) to warm about possible disruption and to participate to the elaboration of a Get Well Plan to reduce impact for the customers.

We count of your due diligence to engage the supplier performance and analyze the delivery performance to increase even future the customer experience.


You will participate or could even lead projects in reference to our PPI - Continuous Improvement program to bring better efficiencies of our processes which should result on cost savings and a better customer experience.

This will offer you the opportunity to develop your innovation and project management skills with the rest of ThermoFisher organisations.


In reference to our quality standard, we expect from you to develop & to maintain appropriate Work instructions & SOP to support specific Production Supply Chain processes.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:


  • Proficient English language skills both written and verbal
  • Shown ability to work in a matrix environment with Experience in multicountry environment.
  • Confirmed analytical, data manipulation and problemsolving skills in a context of continuous improvement approach
  • In depth knowledge and experience of working with ERP systems and sophisticated planning and purchasing tools.
