Our client who are based in Alfreton, Derbyshire have an exciting opportunity to join a fast growing, family business that has huge drive to take business to the next level.
Our client is looking for an office-based Operations Assistant to provide administrative support to the Operations Team.
This opportunity would suit a resilient individual who thrives on working in a fast-paced environment in a highly varied role.
Your roles and responsibilities as the new Operations Assistant:
- Preparing export and domestic despatch documentation for a highly diverse customer base with many different delivery requirements and stipulations.
- Transport bookings and monitoring of courier's performance levels.
- Assisting our Health & Safety Team with audits and document control.
- Processing sales orders and answering general customer questions such as delivery related questions.
- Taking notes and distribution of agendas/minutes for company management meetings.
- Answering the phones and routing calls accordingly.
- Assisting with company asset monitoring and maintenance such as printers and vehicles and liaising with appropriate suppliers.
Your essential key skills as the new Operations Assistant
- 3+ years' experience in a busy business to business dispatch role.
- A natural ability to pick up new systems, and a strong understanding of Microsoft Office and IT.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication.
- Passion and enthusiasm to make things happen and adapt and prioritise workloads.
- Good analytical skills with an ability to create reports on performance levels.
- Career orientated, proving strong ownership skills.
Your desirable key skills:
- Health & Safety knowledge and an interest to develop this.
- Experience in a productbased export role shipping globally, to countries such as but not limited to, Republic of Ireland, Australia, United Arab Emirates, Kenya, Qatar, Nigeria, Turkey, and Caribbean Islands.
