The role.
The Collections department helps business energy customers in financial difficulty to create sustainable payment solutions to suit both the customer and the company.
The Head of Collections will manage people and change; lead operational and strategic credit management, departmental improvements and in doing so, their achievements will contribute commercially to the success of the business.

How you will contribute.
- Provide leadership and strategic direction for the Collections department
- Design, monitor and review effective recovery strategies to protect revenue and mitigate debt risk
- Drive best practice and continuous improvement. Ensure practices comply with legislative, regulatory and license governance
- Lead Collection Managers, supporting growth using a variety of development tools
- Analysis of performance statistics reporting back to the business on progress, opportunities, and risks
- Manage budgets
- Cascade strategic business and departmental KPI's/ objectives
- Liaise with relevant stakeholders and third parties to gather information to resolve issues and handle complex customer complaints or enquiries
- Maintain uptodate knowledge of industry & company developments
What we are looking for.
- Proven experience in a collections or debt recovery role, with at least 2 years of experience in an operational leadership position
- Indepth knowledge of UK collections and debt recovery regulations and industry best practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively manage relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make datadriven decisions
- Knowledge of emerging technology trends and their potential impact on collections and recoveries
- Strong experience in managing, developing and growing a team
- Right to work in the UK
