Associate Scientist (Analytical) - Biologics - Kent

Are you ready for your next scientific challenge? Would you like to contribute to the success of a Company by taking a scientific lead in tasks and projects in analytical development?


This global company is looking for an experienced Associate Scientist, with expert technical knowledge to join their R&D Analytical Team in Kent.


As an Associate Scientist you will contribute your expertise to independently formulating hypotheses, whilst defining and implementing an overall scientific/technical strategy to meet objectives.

You will collaboratively engage with colleagues in a smallteam of Scientists and Technicians for rapid and efficient project progress, delivering an exceptional quality of data and scientific support to our customers.


A suitable associate scientist should have:
Skills and experience in the following areas will be required:

  • Preparation of solutions, accurate pipetting, and basic measurements such as pH or conductivity.
  • Analytical techniques (protein concentration assays, SDS-PAGE, functional activity/titer assays, SEC-HPLC, IEX-HPLC, RP-HPLC, ELISA, qPCR, endotoxin, bioburden).
  • Basic understanding and experience with product stability studies.
  • Use of Microsoft Excel for the analysis, manipulation, and presentation of data.


A BSc level in Bioscience/Biochemistry with some relevant work experience of analytical development in a bioscience-based company, preferably within a CDMO business environment, is required for this role.
