W.H. Bowker was established in 1919 and remain a family-owned logistics operator.

Providing over 1.2 million ft2 of warehousing across 10 strategically location distribution centre, the fleet consists of over 225 vehicles and 450 trailers.


About the site


Bowker's Selby Distribution Centre in North Yorkshire consists of 24,500 pallet locations and offers high quality racked warehousing designed for multi-line order picking.

The well-maintained BRC accredited facilities also include block stacking for bulk storage, secure external compounds and purpose designed food grade facilities across 25,000 m2.


About the role
Opportunities have arisen in our warehouse operation as a warehouse team leader.

  • Leading a team of warehouse operatives
  • Loading and unloading trailers & racking using FLT
  • Using our own WMS to manage stock
  • Maintaining a high level of housekeeping
  • Restacking of pallets
  • Adhering to health and safety protocols
  • Communicating with team members and office staff
  • Experience of leading a small team
  • Fork lift experience with indate licenses
  • Attention to detail
  • A positive and cando attitude
  • Quick thinker and problem solver
  • Good communication and written skills
  • Ability to work within a team
  • Manual handling experience
  • A good attitude to work

Rates of pay, shift patterns & benefits

£543.75 per week / £14.

50 per hour including shift pay premium:

  • Monday
  • Friday / 7.5 hrs working day
/ rotating

  • 20 days holiday plus bank holidays
  • Company Sick Pay

  • Overtime Available
  • Optional staff events throughout the year (Football, Golf, Fishing, Walking & Cycling)

Salary:
£14.50 per hour
