Job Introduction:


Due to the business unit growth in the Essex area, Colas UK Projects are recruiting for a Planner to provide planning management and support to both the pre-contract and contract operations for the business and coordinate with bid and construction teams to manage and control the planning and programming aspects of bid proposals and projects in progress.

You will lead in communicating our works activities with the County Council and all stakeholders, including staff, students, homeowners, local business owners, road users, and the wider public.

You will manage stakeholder needs, whilst upholding the reputation of Colas and the County Council at all times.

You will be the first point of contact for any stakeholder or general public concerns or issues and will meet with the Council and our Project Manager on a regular basis to update them on the concerns and issues raised and to jointly assess the effectiveness of the communication strategy.


Main Responsibility:

Our Construction Solutions UK Projects business unit is going from strength to strength with recent successes.

As a result of growing demand, we're looking for an experienced Senior Foreman to manage construction activities on our schemes.

Responsible for the coordination and safe management of operational site activities, ensuring SHEQ, programme and budget requirements are met.

Manage all aspects of operational work within designated geographical area, managing supervisory staff and all duties associated with direct labour and subcontractor teams.
