  • This role is suitable for someone at the beginning of their career in conservation, or someone part-way through completing an ecological degree. You will work closely with the Green Future Leaders and Community teams to learn a variety of skills including community organising and fundraising to inspire and upskill people to work towards a wilder future.

Job Title:

Green Future Leaders - Community Intern


Office base:

Warwick House, Llandrindod Wells
Mileage claims from your office base to other sites to work are paid
at the staff rate, which is 40p per mile.


Contract:

May to November 2024, assuming successful completion of a 2-month probation period. Hybrid - home, office and site


Responsible to:

Youth Engagement Officer

Responsible for:

Young people engaged during the project as well as volunteers working with or for the post holder.


Salary:

£21,500 pro rata for a 7-month contract (Real Living Wage).


Holiday:
25 days per annum calculated pro rata for a 7-month contract, plus bank holidays.


Pension:

You will be auto enrolled into the RWT pension scheme (NEST). The Trust contributes 6% of your salary into the scheme. It is your
responsibility to opt out of the pension scheme if you wish to do so.


Hours:
35 hours per week for 7 months between May and November 2024. Some evening and weekend work will be required, and a 'time-off
- in-lieu' system will be used to cover this.

Job Purpose:

Helping to deliver the Green Future Leaders project within
Radnorshire; Running engagement activities, engaging with the
public and working with the Reserves Intern at Gilfach Nature
Reserve as well as supporting the wider RWT with events and
