Mechanical Technician - 6 weeks Paid Holiday

DK Recruitment are looking for a Mechanical Technician to join their client's team on a permanent basis in Gosport, PO12.

They are offering 6 weeks paid holiday + Bank Holidays which is the best we have seen and a 37 hour working week.

You will be working as part of a small maintenance team and predominately outside so must be happy to work in various weather conditions.

There may also be a requirement to travel to other sites or for training, therefore a full (preferably clean) drivinglicence is essential.

Responsibilities

Carry out planned maintenance activities and defect rectification efficiently
Reporting of site defects for rectification
Complete weekly / monthly PPM paperwork
Prepare the work area for more complex maintenance of depot, systems, or components
Utilise diagnostic techniques to identify faults in depot systems and components
Understand technical drawings, P&ID's, isometrics, general arrangements,
A good understanding of Safe Systems of Works / RAM's / PTW. Will be required to review works and produce RAMS to carry out the task safely,
AP Duties (Control of Works/Permit to Work)
Qualified Mechanical Technician (having completed a recognised Mechanical Craft Apprenticeship or Equivalent) e.g. NVQL2 or 3 in a Mechanical Qualification
Happy to work in confined spaces when required
Medically fit.
Ideally you will have a working knowledge of rotating and static plant, including, tanks, pumps, valves, and pipework.
