Previous experience in a scientific environment/scientific degree is not a crucial requirement for this role We will consider applicants from other industries as full training is provided


As an On-site Associate in our science-preparation team, you will take ownership of assisting scientists across R&D functions by completing a variety of support tasks in a laboratory environment.

We are offering this role on a full time, permanent basis.

What we're looking for?

  • GCSE Maths & English and a curiosity about Science
  • Full training will be given, previous experience in a laboratory or pharmaceutical/food manufacturing environment desirable but no crucial
  • Ability to understand and follow Health & Safety instructions.
  • Computer Literate

How you'll thrive and create an impact?

  • Aseptic aliquoting of reagents used in tissue culture & basic media prep
  • Preventative maintenance, cleaning & documentation of several laboratory instruments
  • Regularly check chemicals and reagent expiry dates and arrange disposal of any outofdate material via the accurate waste disposal route
  • Maintain and coordinate laboratory consumable inventories
  • Laboratory housekeeping, supervising and keeping communal areas clean and tidy, waste management and specialist equipment user performance checks if required
  • Provide regular glassware and plastics collection, washing and, autoclaving/ sterilisation services (steam, dry or filtration) for the scientists to use within the laboratories
