About the role

The main purpose of this role is to support the design and delivery of Royal London's Design System.

You'll be part of the core design system team and responsible for the creation of UI elements, working with experts from across the team to ensure the system meets users needs following UX research.

Key responsibilities

Contribute to the design, development and evolution of Royal London's Design System whilst collaborating with product teams to help shape customer journeys to deliver the best customer outcomes and experiences
Design of visual elements to support customer engagement objectives and assist in defining elements of layout and design patterns for digital channels and services
Design and creation of presentations and animations to support engagement and training objectives
Support development, maintenance, and evolution of the Design System in line with technology advancements and product team requirements
Champion inclusive design across the business
Assist Senior Digital Designers to develop and protect Royal London's brand across online channels
Support senior leaders to identify risk and ensure appropriate controls are implemented and tested

Criteria

A strong portfolio demonstrating UI design skills
Expert in Figma to produce high quality, pixel perfect outputs, to create design system assets. Experience with similar tools such as Adobe XD, Sketch considered
A creative, innovative thinker with excellent attention to detail
Experience working with responsive and adaptive web design techniques, with mobile first thinking
Deep understanding of inclusive design requirements, tools, and techniques (WCAG compliance)
