The Opportunity


Building on our recent success in deploying large numbers of volunteers across the UK to deliver critical work in the battle against COVID-19, we are looking to consolidate our reputation, grow our UK offer and be a major contributor to the emergency response Voluntary and Community Sector.

As part of this strategy, we are establishing a strengthened regional structure, with each of our 9 Regional Leaders being central to our success.


You will be a motivated leader, working to grow and engage the volunteers in your region whilst being an ambassador for RE:ACT.

With high levels of autonomy within this role you will support RE:

ACT to fulfil our strategic objectives by managing local operations, identifying and engaging key stakeholders whilst championing our work and values.


This is a remote home-based role, with travel around your region and occasional visits to our HQ office at Chilmark.


What We Need from You

Essential Skills

  • Strong leadership and management experience, preferably with emergency services, military or emergency humanitarian response organisations.
  • Excellent team and interpersonal skills. You will enjoy engaging with volunteers and stakeholders.
  • Experience of, and comfortable with, working in disaster or emergency response situations.
  • An entrepreneurial flair, with the ability to identify opportunities and develop creative solutions.

Desirable Skills

  • Background in running a committee or other similar group.

What we Offer in Return

  • Salary of £2830k per annum (dependent on experience).
  • Remote working.
  • Generous holiday package of 25 days annual leave per year (excluding bank holidays and prorata for part time colleagues).
