An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Spinal Services admin team at the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Foundation Trust for a Medical Secretary Spinal Oncology.

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join the Spinal medical secretaries.

To manage day to day secretarial work, with regard to typing of correspondence, organisation of calendar, Making Out Patient and inpatient appointments when PLO's cannot find capacity.

Organise theatre lists and other commitments.

You will be working as part of the Spinal Team within the Spinal department. Taking the lead role for Spinal Oncology Patients, supporting three Spinal Oncology Surgeons and their teams. Making sure all correspondence is dealt with in a timely manner due to Cancer targets.

You will be using PAS IEP PACS ONKOS EXCEL CRD and Winscribe.

You will also have a big part of Supporting Junior Secretarial Support staff in there training.


The position provides the opportunity to work within a very supportive and welcoming team and to further develop your knowledge and skills.


You will need to be educated to GCSE level (or equivalent), have strong audio typing and should be proficient in using all aspects of Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Outlook.
