Applications are welcomed from enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join the established, friendly team of Paediatric Haematologists in our purpose-built haemato-oncology/SCT unit at Waterfall House, Birmingham Children's Hospital (BCH).


The post will cover one or more subspeciality areas including benign haematology, bone marrow failure, leukaemia or stem cell transplant.

We are looking to attract either a Paediatric Haematologist or a Paediatrician who has the relevant training in Paediatric Haematology.


Applicants will be expected to hold their CCT or be within 6 months of award of CCT in Haematology or General Paediatrics (or equivalent) by the time of interview.

The applicant must have the relevant training in Paediatric Haematology.


You will be part of dedicated medical team of 7/8 Consultants (including this post), 6 Haematology/Oncology Specialist Registrars/Clinical fellows and 3 ST2/3's.

There are also 6 trained/in training Advanced Nurse Practitioners in our department.


As one of the UK's largest Paediatric Haematology departments we see a broad case-mix of both malignant and non-malignant disease and we oversee active clinical programmes in all areas of Haematology including Stem Cell Transplantation, Haemoglobinopathy,Haemostasis/Thrombosis and Haemato-Oncology.
