Description

Duties to include, but are not limited to:

  • To assist with the daily running of the HR function within the Hangar facility for 450+ employees.
  • Have a good knowledge of business and HR model to answer daily employee queries and make informed decisions.
  • Carry out general administration tasks for the HR Department including organising and maintaining personnel records, update internal databases (e.g. record sick or maternity leave) and preparing HR documents, such as employment contracts and HR policy documents.
  • Suggest new procedures and policies to continually improve efficiency of the HR department and organisation as a whole, to improve employee experience.
  • Ensure legal compliance of HR employment laws, and update policies and/or procedures as and when required.
  • Produce and submit reports on general HR activity required by senior management.
  • Work closely with various departments, increasingly in an advisory role, assisting line managers to understand and implement company policies and procedures.
  • To liaise, support and advise Management at all levels across the Business on all HR related matters from general queries to disciplinary and grievance procedures and processes.
  • Supporting the maintenance of the organisations HR System and ensuring data is accurate and up to date.
  • Preparing and amending where necessary HR documents, i.e. employment contracts and recruitment guides.
  • Assist in managing payroll administration and data to submit to the outsourced payroll provider, i.e. holiday and sick days.
  • Assist the recruitment team with the onboarding process.

Requirements:


Competencies

  • Knowledge of general office practices and procedures
  • Thorough knowledge of current employmentrelated laws and regulations
  • Ability to deal sensitively and appropriately with confidential information
  • Ability to undertake notes/minutes at meetings
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
  • Must take a proactive approach to work, with strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills, ethics, and cultural awareness.
  • Must be proficient in both written and spoken English
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Experience of prioritising workload, time management and dealing with conflicting priorities with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Must be able to work under pressure in a fastpaced environment
  • Must have the ability to work on own initiative
  • Must be able to work to tight deadlines effectively and efficiently

Qualifications

  • CIPD Qualified to Level 5 or equivalent
  • Must have minimum of 3 years in a similar HR role
  • All applicants must have the unrestricted right to work in the UK.
