  • Job Purpose
  • Reporting to the site manager, you will be responsible for delivering safety and compliance, and effectively managing all aspects relating to people, assets, processes and performance related to the site.
  • Accountabilities
  • Retain existing customer base by driving customer service standards within the site
  • Managing bulk stocks in line with customer demand
  • Ensuring cylinder filing meets demand and stock requirements
  • Implementation of the company safety management system on site
  • Protecting the company's operating licence by ensuring management and compliance with driver's hours & tachograph regulations and working time directive
  • Managing resource levels and proficiency in order to meet customer demand and achieve high proficiency levels
  • Maintenance of safety critical equipment in accordance with PSPI's
  • Manage the safety on site in accordance with the safety management system to meet compliance and drive a safety culture
  • Assist in all aspects of managing colleagues on site including selection, recruitment, training, performance management and appraisals etc
  • Manage compliance of company processes and procedures relating to sales, stocks, financial controls within the operating system (CODAS)
  • Complying to Flogas operating procedures and works instructions
  • Deputise for the Site Manager in their absence

  • Knowledge of working to Health & Safety and employment law good practice
  • Multi task effectively
  • Demonstrate numeracy and literacy skills
  • Effectively communicate with customers and colleagues at all levels
  • Able to show effective management of people and problems
  • Professional and conducts themselves with integrity and honesty at all times
  • Computer literate, including competence in Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Able to demonstrate commercial awareness (in management of margins and volumes)
  • Be reliable and flexible to accommodate seasonal influences
  • Experienced in customer service, providing great service and resolving customer issues
Desirable- Holder of a Certificate of Professional Competence in Road Haulage (CPC)

  • Knowledge of COMAH regulations including properties, safe handling and storage of dangerous goods
  • Experience of CODAS or similar operating systems
  • Experience of ADR / CDG Regulations
  • Knowledge of Bulk Tanker operations
