Senior Accounting Associate


About this role
We're excited to have an opportunity in our Finance team for a Senior Accounting Associate.

This role sits within the UK Accounting team which owns the Month and Quarter End close processes, Balance Sheet reconciliations and internal and external reporting on actuals, making continuous improvements and ensuring these continue to be well managed.


In this role you'll partner closely with a range of stakeholders including wider UK Finance, US Finance and the wider business.

You'll provide oversight of key financial controls as well as independently managing processes and relationships, in addition supporting key partners in project work.

You'll have the opportunity to further your Finance experience in both US GAAP and IFRS reporting, all the while developing a range of skills in this diverse role.


What you'll be doing

  • Be the lead US GAAP monthly close process
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly reporting and variance analysis
  • Own and lead the Monthly Close meetings
  • Support with journal entries, both US GAAP and IFRS
  • Be responsible for key finance processes including oversight of reconciliations
  • Provide technical accounting advice to the wider team and business
  • Partner on business wide project work

What we're looking for

  • Qualified Accountant (ACCA, ACA or CIMA)
  • Experience working in a Finance or Audit team
  • Strong reporting and analytical skills e.g accurate and timely reporting and commentary, spotting potential errors or adjustments
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge ability to advise on adjustments and review results and variance explanations provided
  • Comfortable with new technology and using multiple systems
  • Ability to work on your own initiative and manage own time across multiple tasks
  • Proven ability to build strong relationships within team, wider department and offshore teams
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail

Where and how you'll work
This is a permanent position and can be based in our Nottingham office.


Our hybrid working model offers you the flexibility to work from our offices and from home, when you need to.


We're big on collaboration and connection, and so generally encourage our associates to use our offices on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.


The number of days you spend in the office will usually be led by the type of work you're doing, and the hybrid working patterns of the people you partner most closely with.
