North Foreland Golf Club, a popular seaside Golf Club looking for a Committee Clerk to support committee governance meetings.Supportive and friendly committee and staff.
Minuting skills and experience of coordinating meetings are essential. Knowledge of golf may be beneficial but is not essential. Templates and training available.
The role is
home based with meetings at the
Clubhouse
Person Specification:
The post holder should be able to evidence the following;
- An organised approach to their work
- Experience of minute taking in a formal setting
- The ability to store and retrieve data both in digital and hard copy format
- A good understanding of committee process and protocols
- An understanding of the need to balance confidentiality and transparency
- A working knowledge of the UK-GDPR Regulations
- A willingness to attend meetings remotely or in person for which travelling expenses will be paid
Responsibilities:
- Provide effective administrative support to the General Committee including preparation of agendas, minutes, circulating papers and convening meetings
- Support good governance
- Provide professional advice on governance, constitutional and procedural matters
- Support the Induction of new members (working with templates and an induction checklist)
- Monitor governance information on the Members website to ensure minutes are shared in a timely manner and committee information is correct

Part-time hours: 2-4 per week
