Position Summary:

Saje UPVC is looking for a new Production Operative to join our team in Swanmore, Southampton.

No experience is required, other than a transferable skill set (so use of hand and power tools, able follow instruction (written and verbal), ability to learn etc.).


As a Production Operative you will be working closely with our Production Supervisor for on-the-job training, to ensure that all orders are fulfilled, and product quality is maintained and even uplifted You will be working in a fast-paced, friendly environment in a rural location, so you will need your own transport as there is no public transport.


Renumeration Package

  • Monday to Friday 7.30am to 4pm
  • Extra time when available
  • 40 Hour working week
  • Annual holiday allowance of 20days plus Bank Holidays
  • Company Pension Scheme

Responsibilities:


  • Maintain quality control of product by following proper training and inspection procedures.
  • Work closely with the production team to ensure production needs are met and logged.
  • Maintain inventory levels for your area by following proper inventory control procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment by complying with company safety procedures and quality standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills:


  • Transferable skills from an allied construction / manufacturing type industry.
  • Ability to listen to instructions and learn new skills.
  • Ability to use hand and power tools.
  • Ability to multitask in a fastpaced environment.
  • Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • The role will require manual handling skills and lifting of heavy, large items.
  • Ability to manage your time.

Previous experience & Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a Manufacturing environment would be an advantage to the successful applicant, but not essential. Training will be given.

Salary:
£10.50-£11.50 per hour
