What we're looking for
A mid-weight Product Designer with experience designing world-class experiences and beautifully crafted interfaces. You'd be joining our design team, working on every stage of the design process, from research to delivery.
How we work together
Perlego is organised into cross-functional tribes working together on a common domain.
Our designers work collaboratively with engineers, product managers and commercial partners to execute on strategic projects that drive business and user impact.
This role will join our team of four designers and focus on developing new ways for our product to grow and reach more learners across the globe.
What you'll do:
Take on responsibility working within design process, from research to prototyping and preparing requirements to create delightfully simple experiences for our users.
Work collaboratively with our engineering and product design team to deliver your solutions
Work alongside a marketing designer to ensure your features are communicated to the right people at the right time.
Requirements:
It's the perfect role for you if you:
Have an insatiable passion for digital design and the latest trends.
Possess strong visual skills, creative thinking and design background. Detail-oriented, always striving for quality and consistency.
Have a strong portfolio
Have 3+ years of work experience designing digital products for web and mobile platforms.
Are proficient with UI design prototyping tools, (Figma preferred) and user testing tools
Can own a design process from ideation to developer handoff (including running workshops, user testing and UX research)
Are passionate about analysing data to make informed design decisions and to test your theories.
Create close relationships with stakeholders.
Can communicate your hypotheses and findings back to the business with actionable takeaways.
Have energy, passion and a sleeves-rolled-up mentality: define problem, think quick, and act fast. We don't overplan or get lost in "strategising" - you're a self-starter.
It's a plus if you have:
Advanced experience with user research and testing
Experience with Agile and/or Scrum
Experience with Accessible design
Experience in working closely with developers to design, develop and deliver a product
Experience in a startup environment
Have a general interest in education, books, reading, and always learning new things
What success looks like for this role in 12 months
In 3 months you will understand your assigned domain and have started your first project
In 6 months you will have delivered your first project

The range available for this role is from £47,000 - £53,000
