We require a highly motivated individual who can rise to a challenge to join us in our Post Graduate Medical Education Centre based at Diana Princess of Wales Hospital, Grimsby.
1 x part time 28 hours per week
The applicant should be familiar with, and have experience of, office 365, particularly excel at a high level of competence.
A knowledge of the contractual requirements for Education for our Doctors in Training would be an advantage, however the appropriate learning and development with be provided.
This role will require the ability to liaise confidently and courteously with all levels of staff both within and outside of the Trust and demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to adopt appropriate styles as the post holder will be a first line of contact for doctors seeking support and assistance.
To provide secretarial/administrative support to:
Director of Medical Education
Trust Medical Education Manager
Medical Education Coordinator
College Tutors
Foundation Programme Directors
Course Directors
Support the Trust and co-ordination of Postgraduate Medical/Dental Education activities.
Supply information of courses, examinations etc. to all Junior Doctors.
To monitor Junior Doctors attendance at internal Teaching Sessions, giving regular updates to the Trust Medical Education Manager.
To process Study Leave Applications for the Junior Doctors, checking sufficient study leave allowance is available and confirming with Rota Coordinators that adequate service cover has been arranged prior to submission for approval by the relevant Training Programme Directors, Director of Medical Education/Trust Medical Education Manager.
Act as first contact for Junior Doctors - this may include training and educational issues but may also involve supporting a Doctor in difficulty.
Check all claims for reimbursement of study leave ensuring that the correct information is given and all claims are fully receipted prior to submission to Trust Medical Education Manager for approval.
