At Societe Generale, you will be joining the Global Markets division (MARK) of SG Corporate and Investment Banking.

MARK offers a cross-asset approach along all its offerings : Research, Investment & Risk Management Solutions, Execution and Prime Servicesto asset managers, pension funds, companies, private banks, insurance companies, hedge funds, family offices, sovereign funds and distributors worldwide.

Summary of the key purposes of the role


You will join the Quantitative Investment Strategies (QIS) team in London as Product Specialist within Marketing & Origination team and will evolve in an international, dynamic and fast paced environment integrated within the Sales, Traders and Quant Research.

The QIS Team, including structuring and marketing & origination teams, oversees designing and packaging systematic strategies (e.g. risk premia ideas) into an investable format. The team has a cross-asset coverage (Equity Derivatives, Equity Cash, FixedIncome & Currencies, Commodities, Cross-Asset portfolios).

Summary of responsibilities

  • The product specialist within Marketing & Origination oversees:
  • Designing, developing and producing detailed commercial presentations, and other marketing material on Quant Strategies to clients and potential institutional investors.
  • Promoting Quantitative strategies and the QIS team by answering requests from global sales
  • Collaboration with the various teams of Financial Engineers & Sales from different platforms (New York, London, Paris, Hong Kong and Tokyo)
  • Being part of the thinking process of the idea generation for the development of new Quant strategies
  • Market Watch, analysis of the competition offering
  • Project management including management of the internal data base and launch of new indices.
  • Answering to Requests for Proposal
Competencies

  • Analytical ability, leadership, organizational and business development skills, accuracy and attention to detail;
  • Very good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Powerpoint, Word), python also desirable
  • Ability to manage complex processes dealing with multiple internal and external resources;
  • Strong mathematical skills and understanding of financial markets (e.g. derivatives) are a plus
  • Good communication skills necessary to interact with Sales and other Engineers
  • Reactivity & Teamwork
Work Experience

  • Prior work experience in the similar field is a plus but not required
Education

  • Academic excellence is a prerequisite (Bachelor or Master's degree in business studies, Engineering, Economics, Finance)
Languages

  • English
  • French is a plus
