Description
The client has learning disabilities, a visual impairment, (registered blind) speech, and communication difficulties and physical and mobility issues. She lives in Bromley with her Father and her Step Mother. The role requires, reliability, flexibility empathy and patience and willingness to work with the family.


The client needs support with food and drink preparation, supervision of medication; administration, personal care, some domestic assistance, companionship, and engaging in social activities and going out into the community.

The client needs support when attending medical appointments such as podiatry, dental, GP and regular hospital appointments.

During appointments, the PA will need to communicate with medical staff and doctors, ensure information has been understood, speak on the clients behalf when needed and inform the clients Father, Step Mother of any concerns.

Appointments can be time consuming, and it is vital that a PA is flexible and understands that on occasions in might be necessary to work over any agreed work time and will be paid at the normal hourly rate of pay.


The clients Personal Hygiene and Personal care are essential and the ability and need to maintain the client's hygiene and personal cleanliness is a necessity.


Required
DBS Check, Right to Work Check and references are required.


Common Sense and a sense of humour and the ability to fit in with the family in their home environment.


The ability to maintain and assist with the clients personal hygiene, cleanliness and full assistance when client uses the toilet.


Job Types:
Part-time, Zero hours contract

Part-time hours: 16 per week


Salary:
£14.00 per hour


Expected hours:
No less than 16 per week


Schedule:

  • Day shift

COVID-19 considerations:
PAs are required to wear PPE

  • PPE provided when required
