Team Supervisor - Adult Lead Worker Service (Maternity Cover)

Trident House, Birmingham, B1

Fixed term Maternity cover from May - December 2024

£26,459.60 per annum, pro-rata

37.5 hours per week

About the role


We provide support services in Birmingham for 105 Adults for up to 2 years helping to prevent them from becoming homeless.

As a team supervisor you will manage a small team and ensure a high-quality service to meet the needs of vulnerable adults aged 25 and over.


  • Ensuring contract compliance and quality assurance whilst leading the teams responsible for delivering person centred support to customers working fully as part of a Trident service. To support customers with life skills and empower them to achieve independence.
  • Provide day to day supervision of staff team, including case reviews, supervisions and annual appraisals, and the HR systems for all direct reports.
  • Monitor and manage the team performance against contract stipulations and other Key Performance Indicators, meeting all regulatory standards for allocated services
  • Lead and carry out the recruitment and selection of staff, as required in conjunction with HR
  • To oversee and lead quality assurance including auditing support records and highlighting any areas for improvement.
  • To carry out internal quality audits across the services to ensure compliance with the expected standards and legislation
  • To ensure the health, wellbeing and safety of vulnerable adults, in line with Safeguarding regulations. Play an active role in the on call, out of hours and safeguarding rotas as and when required.
  • Reducing barriers to entry to the service and playing a key role in formulating risk assessments and risk management plans.
  • Any other duties required by the role

About You
We are looking for individuals with relevant experience in providing specialist support that may and will cover a range of activities:

  • Experience of working within supported housing
  • A working knowledge of legislation relevant to the organisation
  • Experience of working within a busy environment
  • Experience of keeping accurate and compliant records
  • Experience of leading or managing a team
  • Experience of managing performance related tasks
  • A relevant qualification specific to the role
  • Level 3 or higher i.e. QCF Health and Social Care
  • Experience of working within homeless services
