Rthirteen are proud to be working alongside a leading charity in order to recruit an Employment Consultant to cover the Leicester area.

The focus of this role is proactively finding employment opportunities for individuals and will include using your knowledge to identify and engage with local employers, selling the benefits of working in partnership with the charity and developing long lasting relationships with employers.


Duties to include:


  • Identifying potential employment opportunities that meet the personal requirements of programme participants.
  • Collaborating with internal teams to place participants into employment as quickly as possible.
  • Developing and managing an account of local employers and gaining a strong understanding of how to support their workforce development needs.
  • Promoting benefits of inclusive employment practices to employers across your region, encouraging them to join company schemes.
  • Building and maintaining effective relationships with employers, public sector organisations, employer forums and other key stakeholders.
  • Continually sell available services and company benefits to employers.
  • Running employer engagement activities across your region.

You will have/be:


  • Proven recruitment or sales experience, specially B2B.
  • A track record of meeting and exceeding targets.
  • Experience in engaging and gaining commitment from employers, with working knowledge of employer expectations.
  • An understanding of mental and physical wellbeing, community and social inclusion, and barriers faced by disabled people and the long term unemployed.
  • Well organised with the ability to manage varying demands promptly, including regular travel and outreach working.
  • An understanding of the requirements of health and safety risk assessments in the workplace.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.

Please note, you will be required to undertake and pass a CRB check
The salary offered is dependent on experience ranging from £28,300 - £33,600.

A comprehensive benefits package is offered including 25 days annual leave + bank holidays, pension scheme, death in service, enhanced maternity, funded team activity days, professional development opportunities and travel is expensed at 40p per mile + parking if necessary.
