_Do you have experience in teaching Maths and English and are looking for some flexible work teaching children on a 1 to 1 basis?_

At TP Tutors we have an exciting opportunity to help young children with achieving their academic goals within English. The role will require someone who can create and plan exciting and engaging sessions to maximise the children's potential.

We are lookingfor someone who is passionate about working with children and helping them become the best they can be within Maths and English.

The role may involve working with children outside of mainstream settings. This role can range from KS- KS4 and Post 16.

  • This role involves:_
  • Plan, create and teach engaging sessions around reading, writing and comprehension.
  • Track progress and plan next steps.
  • Inspire children to achieve.
  • Be aware of the child's needs and interests and plan to this accordingly.
  • Implement behaviour strategies to ensure children are focussed.


The role is based in Derbyshire and the surrounding areas, which is easily accessible via car or public transport and has links with other towns nearby.

The location is dependent on the situation of the child, but this will be clarified before starting.

  • What are we looking for in a Maths and English tutor?_
  • Range of experience working with children in different settings.
  • Ability to develop effective behaviour management strategies.
  • Able to track progress and plan next steps in children's learning.


Working hours are between Monday to Friday, 8.30am-3.30pm approximately, but you may be offered additional duties and responsibilities outside of these hours.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
