We plan to spend £16bn over the next ten years, funding new discoveries in life, health, and wellbeing, and taking on three global health challenges: mental health, infectious disease and climate and health.
We are looking for an Internal Digital Content Lead to join our team.
Where in Wellcome will I be working?
You will be part of Wellcome's Digital Product and Communications team reporting to the Lead Product Manager.
The team is sits in Corporate Affairs and is responsible for Wellcome's digital communications channels and platforms, digital content and digital marketing.
You will also work closely with the Internal Communications team.What will I be doing?
You will develop and implement the internal digital content strategy, upskill staff in digital fundamentals and manage the intranet.
As Internal Digital Content Lead you will:
- Take overall control and act as editor of Wellcome's internal digital channels
- Develop and implement an internal content strategy for Wellcome that takes an employee-first approach
- Build relationships across the organisation to share best practice and champion digital content
- Become a technical expert in Trustnet, providing support and resolving queries from staff where appropriate.
- Ensure all content meets Wellcome's accessibility guidelines.
- Embed our anti-racist and anti-ableist principles and involve minoritised communities in developing content.
We are looking for a resilient and tenacious digital communications professional with a track record of developing content strategies, preferably for an internal audience.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has substantial experience of content management systems
- Has the ability to establish, build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders at all levels of the organisation
- Can build awareness of best digital practice, including current accessibility standards
- Is skilled in developing internal content strategies and working with intranets
- Contributes to a diverse and inclusive culture across the organisation, working in partnership across departments.
