We have an exciting opportunity to become a part of our Health and Safety team.

As our Compliance Co-ordinator, you will provide a high level of customer service, ensuring a safe and secure environment is maintained for all staff, students, and visitors to Writtle University College.


Reporting directly to the Health and Safety Officer, the role holder will play an integral part in producing, monitoring, and recording the levels of Compliance around the University College.

You will be require to plan and log all statututory inspections, ensuring these meet Compliance regulations.

Such inspections will include but not limited to fire safety, electrical equipment and systems, water hygiene and legionella, emergency lighting, and access equipment.


The role holder will also be required to work closely with the Facilities and Operations team to ensure that asset registers are kept up to date, along with liasing with other departments ensuring that machinery and equipment is being maintained, in line with legislative and manufacturers recommendations.

In addition, with the support of the Health and Safety Officer, you will develop and maintain a robust audit process to continuously identify opportunities for improvement.

We have an exciting opportunity to become a part of our Facilities and Operations team.

As one of our Facilities and Operations Officers, you will provide a high level of customer service, ensuring a safe and secure environment is maintained for all staff, students, and visitors to Writtle University College.


The job role will involve carrying out general maintenance and upkeep of student residence and other university properties as necessary.

In addition, you will be required to perform, porterage, caretaking duties, and assist with security, compliance and monitoring testing.


You will work on a rotating shift cycle covering 06.00am pm five days out of seven, generally between Monday to Friday.

Occasional weekend and bank holiday working will be required to cover annual leave.


To be successful in this role it is essential that you have worked in a similar role, and/or be able to demonstrate a good level of maintenance skills and have knowledge of security responsibilities.

It would also be advantageous to hold a professional trade qualification. It is essential that you are in possession full clean UK driving licence.
