The Role:

Professional qualification in Health or Social Work managing all Health & Social Work staff within defined team.


To be responsible for the day-to-day management and administration of integrated health and social care day services and opportunities for older people in Lanarkshire, consistent with national standards, NHS Lanarkshire and North Lanarkshire Council procedures and policies.

To promote an environment which will enable service users to maximise their potential for independent living.

Responsible for delivery of nursing/social care to a high standard.

Carry overall responsibility for supervision and management of nursing and Social Care staff. Responsibility for the sustainability and development of the Community network within a defined locality.

What we'll need you to bring:

  • Registered Professional with 5 years post registration experience.
  • NMC or equivalent professional recordable qualification
  • Five years post registration managerial experience.
  • Educated to/working towards/operating at Degree Level.
  • Further education/evidence of Continuous Professional Development in area of speciality including study days/courses/post graduate qualification.
  • The post holder will possess excellent teamworking/leadership skills and have the ability to motivate others and work using own initiative.
  • Effective listening, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Effective time management skills.
  • Public Service Management Certificate.
  • 2 years expert practice working with older people.
  • Valid UK Driving Licence

  • 37.5 hours

Location and Working Pattern:


  • This role will be based within Central Health Centre, Cumbernauld
  • The working pattern for this role is Monday to Friday
