Warehouse Picker Packer IMMEDIATE START

Oakhouse Foods is a home delivery company delivering high quality frozen meals, a range of essential household goods and a range of pureed and softer meals.

Outstanding customer service is critical, building relationships with our customers is fundamental and having a pro-active "can do" attitude is essential.

The role

This is a critical role working as part of a small team to deliver accurate product picking for customers. The ability to drive the delivery vans when needed will be an advantage for which you will need a full and clean driving licence.

Responsibilities

Pick customers' orders promptly and accurately, ensuring orders are correctly processed with clearly marked bag numbering

Record fridges, freezers and cold store temperature records twice a day and report any maintenance that may be required
Work with the drivers to make sure they know how many deliveries there are for the day
Ensure customer orders are well presented with current marketing information included in each bag
Highlight any stock shortages and make substitutes where necessary
Record any damaged products and dispose of them directly
Restock freezers from the cold stores
Make sure all paperwork is completed accurately and clearly
Check all incoming deliveries against Purchase Orders. Recording shortages, damages, miss picks and the temperature of the pallets as they arrive to site
Store all deliveries in the Cold Store and ensure it is organised and tidy to aid stock control
Record any Best Before dates of less than 3 months for frozen products and report them to Head Office
Complete the weekly storage cleaning document
Carry out stock checks when required

Multitasker that can help in other departments
Full clean UK driving licence

Location

You will be primarily based at our warehouse in AL1, St Albans where there is free onsite parking available.
When you are driving, you will be delivering orders to customers in Hertfordshire and parts of Bedfordshire and Buckinghamshire.
