We are now looking to recruit an experienced Plant Fitter who will be willing to train or has experience working on road/rail tampers based in Doncaster - with a requirement to work away across the UK as and when required.

Required

Relevant trade qualification.
Completed apprenticeship or NVQ level 3 in relevant discipline.
Working knowledge of pneumatics, electronics, hydraulics and mechanical design.
Experience of maintaining 360 excavators, trailers etc.
Able to identify reasons for mechanical/electrical failure fault analysis to rectify problems.
A genuine commitment to achieving high standards and an eye for detail to ensure the quality of work done.
Experience of prioritising work and optimising and improving use of resources including teams, tools and equipment.
Knowledge and experience of following safe working practices in a safety critical workplace.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Good problem solving skills.
Able to work flexibly and work across a broad range of activities as the role evolves.
Willing to train to operate Plasser tamping machines.

Remuneration

Competitive salary and package, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
39 hours per week plus overtime.
Must be flexible in working hours and responsibilities.
22 days holiday plus statutory bank holidays.
