You enjoy being involved in a diverse range of People team tasks, working within a fast paced, creative environment.

You will have a people centred role and be the first point of contact for all staff queries, processes, and documentation.

The range of tasks include, evolving and actioning day-to-day People Team processes such as organising the recruitment process, welcoming new joiners, facilitating inductions, to supporting with the monthly payroll process to name a few.

You will be a key member of the People team ensuring that all staff are supported at all stages of their time in the practice.

About the role


Payroll Administration


Your role will include administering the monthly payroll process, from data entry through to co-ordination and management of the relationship with our external supplier relationship and collaboration with the finance team.

You will be the point of contact for all queries relating to pay and will be responsible for all payroll related data.


Recruitment Co-ordination

People Team Operational Processes and Data Management


Having good data helps us to make better decisions and your role will be to manage the People team data.

This involves supporting ways that we can improve our data administration, management and data entry and working with the Knowledge and Transformation team to evolve our dashboards.

You will also coordinate all day-to-day people administration processes including managing the efficient design and workflows of processes, ensuring maximum use of digital tools and agile methodologies to encourage collaboration and continuous improvement.


Policies and Contracts


Policies provide practical advice and guidance and so it's important that all policies are kept up to date, legally compliant and relevant.

Keeping up to date with statutory compliance issues, or employment law changes and supporting with designing appropriate responses, processes and/or communication planning for the People Team.

You will assist with policy changes and communicating these to the wider practice as well as creating and issuing contracts for employees as required.


Talent Development
We are passionate about supporting our employees along their development journey.

In your role you will be responsible for coordinating development processes such as annual reviews, performance management, promotion board activities etc.

as well as acting as a point of support for line managers in following talent development processes and standards.


Learning Co-ordination
It is important that new joiners' onboarding experience is engaging, informative and supports their integration into life at DCAL. Your role will be to coordinate all inductions and the administration of the induction programme. You will be involved in evolving our new joiner processes as part of continuous improvement initiatives.

Coordinating learning activities across the practice as set out in the Annual Learning Strategy, setting up learning sessions, tracking participation and skill development as well as managing evaluation and feedback on learning activities.


Wellness


The wellness of our employees is important to us, and part of your role will be to support the Head of People to Implement the wellness strategy for the practice.

You will be leading the coordination of the Mental Health First Aider program whilst facilitating the wellness employee resource group and supporting wider practice communications and engagement on the topic of wellness.

3+ years Human Resources operational experience, preferably in a creative environmentPayroll management experience with a good understanding of UK payroll legislation, UK employment law understanding Excellent attention to detailStrong interpersonal skills
