About Our Client:

My client is part of a Not for Profit Housing Association organisation based in Lancashire. They provide safe and affordable housing for individuals within the North West.


The key responsibilities of a Finance Officer will include, but may not be limited to;

  • Supporting with Customer queries
  • Financial Accounts
  • Monthly reconciliations on accounts
  • Producing accurate management accounts
  • Preparation and submission of financial information to stakeholders
  • Undertake monthly bank reconciliation
  • Preparing bank and credit control account reconciliation
  • Checking of order against purchase orders, invoices, payments of invoices and other expenses
  • Preparing an annual budget for the organisation

The Successful Applicant:


The successful Finance Officer must possess the following skill set and experience;

  • Background in Not for Profit and Charities background OR Housing Associations
  • Proven work history in transactional finance or accounts environment
  • Good communication skills, verbally and in writing
  • Strong IT skills, including Quickbooks or Salesforce
  • Able to make improvements to own service area and manage deadlines
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills
  • Ability to problem solve issues and to organise own workload and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work with a professional manner
  • Good attention to detail
  • Excellent organisational skills and to manage multiple activities
