Description
As the Financial Accountant
The job holder is responsible for the production of financial accounts for 2 legal entities ensuring that appropriate processes and controls are in place to facilitate accurate and timely record keeping, reporting and compliance.

- Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities
Accounting for Entities:
- Day to day management and processing of accounting transactions
- Day to day management and liaison with outsourced finance service provider to ensure timely processing of accounting transactions, payment of local supplier invoices and submission of relevant returns to the authorities
- Prepare and submit monthly accounts including inventory valuations/prepayments and accruals/intercompany invoicing and offsetting
- Review and submit monthly accounts of the outsourced finance service provider
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations for all accounts
- Review balance sheet reconciliations for all accounts of outsourced finance service provider
- Submit Intrastat, VAT and Statistical data as required
- Prepare annual accounts together with a year end audit file containing all relevant supporting documentation
- Ensuring compliance with, and maintenance of, suitable accounting and processing policies, procedures and controls in accordance with local and international requirements and KPI policies
- Managing the close cooperation and key relationships with Finance and other departments
- Liaise with outsourced service providers
- Liaison with auditors [internal/external], tax, pension and other advisors on control and compliance matters including VAT and income tax issues, policies and procedures
- Be responsible for keeping abreast of the development in technical accounting issues (including IFRS and local standards) their interpretation and implementation into accounting policy
- Ensure and coordinate compliance with group and local statutory reporting requirements, particularly in relation to annual audit and production of local accounts including external auditor liaison
Profile
- Experience in a similar role desirable
- Part Qualified or Qualified by experience both equally considered
- Experience of SAP system is desirable but not essential
- Good Excel skills
- Strong Communication Skills
- Strong Attention to detail
Job Offer
Financial Accountant
Salary £42,000 - £50,000
- Hours 9am 5:15pm
- Bonus Scheme previously paid out 79%
- Study Support if Required but not essential
- Strong Pension Employee 5% and Employer 10%
