Excellent opportunity for a Newly Qualified or Junior Agriculture & Estates Solicitor to join a leading Legal 500 Law Firm in their Kent office.

Our client is an exceptional full service practice with over 30 Legal 500 recognised departments.


The Agriculture and Estates Department is one of the largest specialist legal units in the UK and is ranked by the Legal 500 as Top Tier for the area.


As a result of substantial growth, the firm are seeking a Junior Agriculture & Estates Solicitor to join the team in their Kent office.

The Opportunity


This is a brilliant opportunity for an ambitious NQ or Junior Solicitor to join a highly successful, specialist team who are based over multiple offices and led by a Chambers UK recognised Partner.


The team advises both UK and international clients on all aspects of UK legislation affecting rural real estate investment - including farm acquisitions and disposals, renewable energy projects, planning issues, natural capital, investment in equestrianand rural estate, rights of way and environmental liabilities.

The team's expertise covers a variety of rural issues, including but not limited to:

  • Sales and acquisitions of agricultural property and land (including options, overages and pre-emption agreements)
  • Agricultural tenancies
  • Sporting and fishing rights
  • Banking and refinancing agricultural properties
  • Residential conveyancing and tenancy advice for farming and estate clients
  • Business structures and joint venture/collaborative agreements
  • Diversification issues
  • Succession planning
  • Working with the wider Private Client and tax teams advising on Wills, trust planning and probate matters
  • Tax advice in relation to IHT, SDLT, ER, CGT and VAT
The Role


The role would suit a driven and forward thinking junior solicitor (NQ - 3 years' PQE) who has a passion for rural matters and a genuine interest in Agricultural law.
