They are looking for a
Business Analyst, ideally with some finance experience, who is ready bring their skill set to a senior product owner role within our IT Service Management team.

Working with third party vendors and in-house developers,you will be responsible for the maintenance and development for all finance related IT systems ensuring that the products meet and exceed the expectations of the staff user base and maximise the benefit of Jigsaw's investment.


Main duties:


  • Act as product owner for all finance IT systems
  • Working with stakeholders and technical leads to develop existing and new finance IT systems to meet or anticipate user needs
  • Define user requirements for enhancement work, maintaining and prioritising a backlog of requests
  • Convert requirements into specifications for enhancement work; liaise with inhouse developers and third party suppliers; write test plans and lead on the testing and signoff process; supervise go live arrangements; lead on retrospectives
  • Build positive relationships with suppliers, advocating on behalf of Jigsaw, monitoring performance, and ensuring upgrade take place to ensure vendor support is maintained.
  • Maintain the IT product hub and product reference information, prepare training materials and raise awareness of the product
  • Project management of finance IT projects including adapting to new, agile ways of working
  • Understand the impact of IT security issues, data quality, data protection and confidentiality issues within Jigsaw finance products

Requirements:


  • Proven track record of experience within an IT or business analyst role
  • Project management experience of significant system change activities
  • Experience of finance systems (is preferred but not essential)
  • Line management experience (is preferred but not essential), including coaching & training, recruitment, performance & absence management
  • Excellent communicator and able to win confidence of senior staff
  • Ability to learn new business areas quickly including appreciation of underlying technical infrastructure
  • Understanding of IT security, data protection and confidentiality issues

£35,000 per annum:
