The Opportunity


You will be responsible for helping to set, test and monitor the anti-financial crime (AFC) framework within Railsr, including working with each area of the business to ensure correct implementation and management of the firm's AFC controls.


Your Responsibilities:


  • Ensure that Railsr and its UK regulated entities maintain alignment to current UK money laundering, terrorist financing and financial sanctions regulations and laws.
  • Take ownership for the firm's Financial Crime Risk Assessments.
  • Draft and maintain relevant policies.
  • Ensure crossfunctional procedures and workflows are appropriate and aligned to company policy. Work with key stakeholders to address deficiencies.
  • Be the firm's nominated officer in accordance with regulation 21 of the UK's money laundering regulations.
  • Investigate SAR's and make disclosures to UK law enforcement in accordance with the Proceeds of Crime Act

  • Investigate potential financial sanctions alerts and make disclosures in accordance with OFSI guidance section
  • Ensure that AFC training provided to employees is appropriate and in accordance with regulation 24 of the UK's money laundering regulations.
  • Provide MI on all AML/TF matters as required.
  • Supporting the CCRO in meetings with external auditors and regulators.
  • Deputise for the CCRO in their absence.

Your Profile

  • Skills & Experience_
  • At least 5 years' relevant industry experience.
  • Experience of working at an EMI would be beneficial.
  • Understanding of how new AFC regulations coming into play will impact the business' products and expansion plans.
  • Comfortable operating in an environment with multiple AFC regulatory requirements.
  • Experience in drafting, implementing and rolling out AFC frameworks and policies.
  • Have previously supported assessing and implementing regulatory requirements across multiple geographies.
  • Experience designing / maintaining AFC processes and procedures.
  • Have overseen the validation of AML tools/scenarios (design and performance).
  • Have been responsible for overseeing KYC/sanctions checks and/or conducting investigations.
  • Skills & Experience_
  • Your communication skills allow you to distil complex and cumbersome regulation into understandable English.
  • Your written, presentation and training skills are of a very high standard.
