Job Title:
Carer

Responsible to:
Directly accountable to and taking direction from the employer (Mum)

Hours: 8 hours every other week - (weekends, evenings, school holidays or overnights)

Hourly Rate of Pay:
£21.00 (reason in increased rate of pay is due to supporting 2 siblings per shift)

Based at:
Employer's own home in Suffolk (Haverhill - CB9).

Job Purpose

Main duties:

To support with:
Constant supervision is always required.
To be a social friendly companion to the boys.
You will be required to keep the boys entertained in the home.

To keep the boys entertained by playing games, watching TV, playing in the garden, sensory toys and imaginative play etc.

To support the boys with personal care e.g. toileting, nappy changing, washing, bathing etc.
Supervising the twins when they are eating and drinking. Assisting with meal preparation.
To perform such other duties as may reasonably be required.

Personal Specification
Flexible in the hours and times that you can work.
First trained is ideal but not essential
Have a good sense of humour and enjoy a friendly joke.
You should have a thorough understanding of personal safety.
Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills.
You should have knowledge and understanding of risks.
Resilience and awareness of triggers in managing some behaviours that challenge.
Good communication is essential.
Be patient and supportive.
Experience with SEN needs / understand SEN.
