HGV Mechanic - Clarke Transport

Due to an increase in workload, the business now requires an experienced HGV Machanic at our Vehicle Maintenance Unit in Oldbury, West Midlands.

Working as a key member of the VMU team, you will carry out routine maintenance, fault diagnosis and repairs as required, ensuring our vehicles are maintained and repaired to the highest standards.


As a HGV Mechanic your role will involve:

  • Service and repair of heavy and light commercial vehicles
  • MOT preparation and inspections work on vehicles and trailers
  • Fault diagnosis of both mechanical and electrical systems
  • Attending breakdown incidents where required
  • Working within H&S best practices promoting a safetyfirst culture
  • Employing a 'rightfirsttime' approach to any task
  • Ensuring consistent quality of work within appropriate job timings
  • Timely completion of all specific company and official paperwork

The Package

  • Shifts & hr Break) Monday to Friday
  • Salary £37,300 per annum OTE

£ WITH HGV LICENCE:

  • 20 Days plus 8 statutory holidays (28 days in total)
  • Additional Holiday after 4 years' service
