Cleveland Clinic London are looking to recruit a Consultant Clinical Neuropsychologist to join our Neuropsychology department, with a competitive salary range on offer, broadly equivalent to NHS 8c.

Reporting to the Lead Neuropsychologist, this role will specialize in delivering a high quality, robust and responsive neuropsychological assessment service to adult neurological patients (outpatients and inpatients) as well as contributing to the delivery and development of outpatient neuropsychology therapeutic support services for neurological and neurosurgical outpatients.

The Neurosciences Institute at Cleveland Clinic London incorporates a large team of leading neurologists, neurosurgeons and neuro-rehabilitation specialists providing a comprehensive clinical outpatient and inpatient service, including a state-of-the-art inpatient neuro-rehabilitation unit.


The Neuropsychology Department consists of a growing team of Clinical Neuropsychologists and Psychologists who work into diagnostic, surgical and rehabilitation services.


What will your duties include?- Support the Lead Neuropsychologist in the delivery and development of a high quality, robust and responsive neuropsychological assessment service to adult neurological and neurosurgical patients (outpatients and inpatients).- Support the Lead Neuropsychologist in the development and delivery of outpatient neuropsychology therapeutic support services for neurological and neurosurgical outpatients.- Act as a source of expertise on the management of neurological patients, providing support and advice to health professionals both within the service and the wider MDT.- Contribute to operational service planning and delivery of the neuropsychology service.- Assist with the collection and evaluation of capacity, productivity, quality and other relevant data.- Participate in identifying clinical research and audit priorities to drive the neuropsychology clinical development strategy.- Support the Lead Neuropsychologist in the development and delivery of innovative service improvement projects focused on improving quality of care and patient outcomes.- Ensure appropriate actions are taken to mitigate or respond to identified risks.- Work within identified scope of practice and the Health and Care Professions Council Standards of Practice.- Participate in the education, supervision and training of clinical psychologists, neuropsychology assistants and other healthcare professionals in the management of neuropsychological conditions.- Be professionally and legally responsible and accountable for all aspects of own work, ensuring a high standard of clinical care for patients under own management and supporting others to do likewise.

What we need from you?- Training in Clinical Psychology to doctoral standard.- Current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council- Post qualification training in Clinical Neuropsychology (e.g.

Diploma in Clinical Neuropsychology)- BPS Qualification in Clinical Neuropsychology (QiCN) or equivalent (Desirable)- Extensive postgraduate experience of specialist neuropsychological assessment.- Postgraduate experience of neuropsychological treatment of neurological or neurosurgical patients.- Post qualification training in supervision.- Experience of supervision of qualified psychologists, assistant psychologists or students.- Post qualification training in therapeutic practice with neurological patients (Desirable).- Evidence of continuous professional development relevant to diagnostic neuropsychology.- Fluency in written and spoken English is essential - skills in another language are desirable.- Ability to organize, prioritize, delegate and work to deadline effectively.- Experience of service audit, quality standard setting and risk management processes for clinical effectiveness.- Experience of supporting a culture of research awareness.- Evaluation of clinical practice including participation in research/audit/service evaluation.
