NG Bailey Facilities Services are currently recruiting for a M&E Asset Surveyor to join our Team in Leeds, this will be a Hybrid role with, being onsite, office and working from home, its essential that you have a Driving Licence.


You will be expected to travel with this role, so you will need to be flexible as and when required.

To deliver asset verification, lifecycle analysis and condition reporting across a range of new and existing customers whilst reporting to the Asset Verification Manager


The role will require a combination of excellent organisational, problem solving and management skills to be able to manage multiple survey programmes at once, whilst also conducting onsite surveys at customer sites.

Regular reporting both internally and externally will always be expected.


With a range of exciting projects in the pipeline there will be regular desktop work analysing spreadsheet data, reviewing PPM plans, writing technical reports and undertaking data quality assurance.

During onsite surveys, which will require travel nationally, there will be a requirement to work with asset data capture software and tablet technology.


An understanding of asset data, PPM planning, engineering reports/drawings/records and HVAC/electrical systems will be required to ensure accurate and high-quality data is consistently captured.


As the role will involve extensive work on customer sites a proactive approach to health and safety will be expected in-line with our Safety First and Foremost vision.


Liaison will be required with multiple stakeholders including our Bid Team, Mobilisation Team, Operations Team and sub-contractors as well as directly with our customers; as such excellent and professional communication skills are required.

Salary is depending on experience, plus a Car or Allowance is available, plus great benefits

Key Accountabilities

  • Ensuring that all surveying commitments are met and within agreed time scales
  • To undertake surveys of buildings HVAC and electrical assets; and recording information as required
  • Maintain and deliver programmes of works for asset verification and condition reporting
  • Provide regular reports that track project progress and project cost as required
  • Manage surveyors and survey teams [subcontractors] on large asset verification projects
  • Compile and maintain asset registers as required
  • Carry out asset verification, lifecycle analysis and M&E plant condition reporting
  • Produce written technical reports
  • Contribute to the effective planning, set up, mobilisation and operation of contracts in accordance with NG Bailey systems and procedures
  • Be fully conversant with the company procedures, associated guidance manuals and technical standards/regulations.
  • Be familiar with current and future legislation regarding Standards, CDM, Health, Safety & Environmental issues relating to technical activities
  • Undertake any other reasonable task that may arise from time to time as required.

  • Ensure that all written communication represents a professional image to customers and staff
  • Support the Divisional Technical Team as required with technical & compliance audits and/or any other technical team activity
  • Support the Bid Team as required with pricing and biding surveys
  • Support the Energy Team as required with building energy/performance surveys
