An exciting role has arisen in our Engineering department as a Maintenance & Reliability Planner.


The purpose of Maintenance and Reliability Planner is to plan timely maintenance, repair and statutory inspection of all company assets while considering operational requirement of assets, optimal compliance with maintenance schedules and statutory inspection regimes.

This role is required to cover 12 hour shifts, working days and nights on a fixed pattern.


The role will ensure optimal operational utilisation of each asset while ensuring all statutory inspections regimes and Preventative Maintenance schedules are adhered to.


Key Objectives

  • This role will be required to develop an understanding of the operational priorities, equipment demands and maintenance priorities. The key objective is to liaise between Engineering Managers, Operational Planners, Stores Officers and Team Leaders to ensure a seamless maintenance routine of all assets with mínimal operational disruption, whilst maintaining full compliance with maintenance and reliability requirements and statutory inspections.
  • This role will entail extensive use of Maintenance Management system (currently IFS). Maintenance & Reliability planner shall be responsible to enter/alter Preventive maintenance schedules in IFS whenever necessary; record all breakdowns in the system; produce reports and key performance indicators; schedule Preventive, corrective maintenance tasks; assign work to the maintenance teams and ensure effective utilisation of maintenance resources.
  • Make critical decisions during breakdowns to best provide suitable plant to fulfil the needs of the operational department.
  • Fully understand LG's legal duties for thorough examination of plant and schedule outage and resources accordingly.

Key Responsibilities

  • To ensure all maintenance tasks are planned and completed in accordance with the maintenance schedules
  • Plan statutory inspections and all outsourced maintenance activities.
  • To ensure that the data required to develop KPIs is collected and updated regularly and information is made available whenever requested
  • Main point of contact for engineering management during the shifts
  • Prepare reports which may include KPIs, fault history, preventive maintenance records/history.
  • Liaise with Asset Managers to ensure that the Preventive Maintenance Program meets manufactures recommendation and update the data if necessary.
  • Liaise with Asset Managers to ensure that the all documentation is properly stored and updated in Maintenance Management system (currently IFS)
  • To ensure that RAMS of all the maintenance activities are documented and updated in Maintenance Management system (currently IFS)
  • Continually monitor the performance of all assets and resources in order to find/propose ways of continuous improvement.
  • To ensure that KPIs and equipment data are timely updated in DP World Global Asset Management system.
  • To ensure that Maintenance Management system (currently IFS) is used to its maximum capability and assist in the implementation of new functionalities.
  • Provide data to assist engineering management in the preparation of budgets Effective management and scheduling of all maintenance activities considering the operational, safety and maintenance requirement.
  • Effective utilisation and deployment of appropriate maintenance resources considering skills required for different types of assets.
  • To maintain high equipment availability, reliability and safety
  • To maximise the operational use of each asset, whilst ensuring all Thorough/statuary Exams are kept within date and PM schedules are not missed.

Requirements:


Qualifications, skills and Experience Required:


  • ONC level qualification, preferably in Engineering or Computer Sciences or Information Technology.
  • Excellent communication, coordination and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent team player. Dynamic, creative and innovative.
  • Experience of EAMS (Enterprise Asset Management System) specifically modules related to Maintenance, Inventory, Procurement and Reliability is preferred but not mandatory
  • Previous experience in planning and coordination is preferred but not mandatory
  • Knowledge of equipment maintenance panning and fundamental HSE requirement is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Expert understanding of Microsoft Excel.
